Toronto, what a trip!

My mini-tour took me to Toronto for a packed 11 days this summer...

A short version of my work, The Key to Time Travel, was presented at the dance: made in canada / fait au canada Festival Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18 at the Betty Oliphant Theatre. My piece, We Three, was presented at Your Dance Fest Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25 at the Artscape Wychwood Barns.

This was all made possible by funding from the Canada Council for the Arts, your support, festival artist fees, and my own out-of-pocket financial contribution. See some photos from my Toronto trip below...

The Betty Oliphant Theatre was an incredibly beautiful and well-equipped space. It was a total pleasure to have my work shown on this stage.

A quick photo snapped during our technical set up on the stage.

The dance: made in canada Festival treats it's artists well! Each of us got our own space in the dressing room where there were opening night cards and gifts waiting.

Your Dance Fest took place at the quirky Artscape Wycwood Barns. I space bursting at the seams with art and community vibes.

Reuniting the coven of witches was half the fun of remounting We Three. They were wonderful roommates for the week.

A lot of time and effort goes into making something new, so it's wonderful to be able to tour a finished piece, keep it alive, and have a larger audience experience the work. I am so thrilled to have had the opportunity to give both of these works new life!
