Summer of Allisoneb - Toronto Edition!

So... I will be presenting work at two different Toronto dance festivals this summer. It's pretty unreal. Both these projects are remounts of work dear to my heart, and both will be shown twice as part of festival showcases.

The first, a 10-minute excerpt from my now 45-minute work, The Key to Time Travel is being presented at the prestigious dance: made in canada festival. The festival programs established contemporary dance choreographers, and emerging ones like me. I will be in good company!

The second festival is called Your Dance Fest and is run by an organization called random acts of dance. This festival was curated by community members who are outside of the sphere of professional dance. I'll be remounting the full 12-minute work We Three at this festival.

Dates and details about both festivals below.

dance: made in canada (August 14-18, 2019)

The Key to time Travel will be presented alongside four other works in the What You See is What You Get (WYSIWYG) programming of the festival on Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18 at 2pm. There will be a post-show chat facilitated by Grace Wells-Smith on Saturday, August 17 at 3pm. You can order tickets here.

Your Dance Fest (August 23-25, 2019)

This festival's mandate is to encourage new audiences to engage in dance. Check out the description of the way the festival is run in this promotional video.

I created this witch themed work, We Three, in Calgary last summer, and I am so exciting to be bringing the cast back together for this occasion. It'll be presented in a showcase at the Wychwood Barns Saturday, August 24 at 7:15pm and Sunday, August 25 at 2:15pm. You can order tickets here.

I am grateful for the support of the Canada Council for the Arts which made these Toronto presentation possible.
